Ziggy, Pye, & Spirit's Trip to France

When we moved to France, we brought our three pets with us—Ziggy, our Bernedoodle, and our two cats, Pye and Spirit.

Spirit, our tortoiseshell cat, quickly made it clear she was in charge. She rules the roost and keeps a close eye on everything. Her sister, Pye, is much more laid back. She loves to relax and is happiest snuggled up—often right next to Ziggy. Ziggy, on the other hand, is all about people, treats, and car rides. He’s friendly, curious, and always ready to go.

The journey brought them from Miami to Paris on a direct flight, followed by a van ride from Charles de Gaulle to our cottage. We were so relieved and happy to have them all safely with us again.

It didn’t take long for them to settle in. Pye and Spirit claimed the fireside sofa as their spot, while Ziggy stayed close by and started exploring the outdoors.

Now, they’re all adjusting in their own way. Ziggy is thriving with daily walks and long drives through the countryside. Pye and Spirit prefer a slower pace—lounging in the sunshine and watching birds from inside.

It already feels like home—for all of us.
