Just wanted to give a huge thanks to the Jet Pets team in New Zealand and Starwood Pet Travel in the US for getting our beloved Kona safely to the United States. From the initial discussions to the Vet visits in Nelson NZ then the final vet exam at MPI prior to departure, all the Jet Pets staff were amazing. Communication was exceptional at all stages of the process. Everyone was so pleasant, kind and well informed. Our questions were quickly answered, and little accommodations were easily made. Kona and I were treated very well by everyone we worked with. We will be very happy to use Jet Pets and Starwood in the future and can confidently recommend their services.

So happy with Starwood's service in moving my 2 cats from Houston, TX to Madrid, Spain! Kirsty was very communicative throughout the entire process and was quick to answer my questions and concerns and everything went smoothly with Starwood working with my vet to get their health certificates in time. I was super nervous about my cats traveling without me and having a layover in Germany, but I was kept updated and sent photos of their journey every step of the way. The only thing that was a little stressful was the fact that the carrier was late to pick them up, but Kirsty took care of that and they still made it to their flight on time. Sable and Sandman were so happy to see me when they finally arrived in Madrid and are settling into our new home! Thank you so much!

My partner and I hired Starwood to help with transporting our dog from Texas to the UK. We found it as affordable as transporting a pet can be (as it was thousands of dollars more to do ourselves and a very large margin for error when it came down to the documents). The only hiccup we encountered was an unfortunate mistake on the vet’s part that would’ve resulted in having to push our flight further out. Please, please, please encourage your vet to accept Starwood’s help, especially if they’ve never done a health certificate before. Regardless, my dog Minnie made it home safely thanks to this wonderful company. Thank you! And a special thanks to Sarah our UK coordinator for your confidence and reassurance. You took away all the stress I would’ve otherwise had! You did great!

We used Starwood to assist us in relocating our girls from New York to Hawaii. Both are close to 50 pounds each and had to travel via cargo. We were fortunate to have a direct flight and chose the package that included the final vet check and pick up/delivery to our homes on each end. We received many pictures showing their travel to the vet, the boarding facility the night before their flight and their delivery to the airport. We were certainly anxious the whole time they were away from us as we were unsure how they would tolerate the flight and then their delayed arrival in Hawaii resulted in them having to spend a night in quarantine before they could be cleared for release. This also made us anxious as to how they were faring. However, they were delivered to us the following morning safe, sound and very happy to be back with family. I am grateful there is a well established service that knows how to work through all the processes we did not have time to research and figure out. They also were knowledgeable and comfortable with the process for how our pets were to be managed during their late arrival. I certainly would use Starwood again if needed.

Moving cats to another country is incredibly stressful and Starwood talked me through every step of the process, co-ordinated with our vet, and gave us updates during our cats' journey. There is a lot of documentation and Starwood ensured everything went smoothly. Our pet co-ordinator was there to answer all our questions. If I ever move pets to another country again, I will definitely use Starwood!

We couldn't have been happier with choosing Starwood for our pet travel coordinator. Moving from NYC to Melbourne was quite the lengthy process, however, Starwood was a fantastic support every step of the way. I appreciated the transparency around the process, and how much Molly and team accommodated any questions or concerns. They went above and beyond to level set expectations, from the beginning to final pickup. Looking back, I couldn't have done this without the support from Starwood. If you're a concerned pet owner like me, Starwood makes the process of transporting them so much easier. My family and moved 3 dogs from California to Hawaii, and there is no way this would've gone as smoothly without Starwood. Our travel coordinator Ryan was awesome. She really helped in keeping me calm during this whole process. The service wasn't exactly what I expected, and you are definitely going to have to do some work on your end, especially in the beginning. But they are always responsive to any concerns or questions, and have a very organized system to make sure you don't miss any steps before your pet travels. If you have any doubts or worries about your pets traveling safely, Starwood will definitely give you peace of mind.

Fabulous experience with Starwood! I relocated to the UK for work, and when I started researching how to get my two cats sent over with me, I immediately became overwhelmed. There’s tons of nuances to the paperwork, and a lot of boxes to check off to make sure everything is good to go. I decided to pick an agency to send them, because this was the thing I was most stressed about when moving! If I mess up paperwork or documentation, I’d be totally screwed!! I decided to go with the Premium package, because it took the entirety of the workload off of me. It was definitely expensive but for me, the peace of mind was worth it. They communicated with my vet to ensure all the paperwork was correct, they took my cats to their health certificate appointments for me, they booked their travel, picked them up and took them to the airport and took care of all that paperwork AND dropped them off at my apartment in London! Knowing that my cats were in good hands, and that any issues would be immediately resolved really eased my stress. My pet coordinator, Rosemary, was wonderful! Incredibly organized, respectful, and answered all of my (sometimes silly) questions and concerns. She was available when I needed help, and I had no issues arise during the process. Some people decide to handle it themselves, either completely or partially, but if you truly want the peace of mind during an already stressful life change, I’d 100% recommend Starwood. Absolutely worth it! My cats arrived safely, and are now adjusting to life in the UK alongside me! Thanks again Rosemary & Starwood!!

Very good service from this company who organised the safe transport of our 12 year old dog from Los Angeles to London. It's a complicated process but they guide you through it with a useful client portal with tasks laid out. They liaised with our Vets and made sure all of the forms were correct. They also handled all of the Airline requirements, transport and Customs clearance in the UK. Very helpful and communicative and would definitely recommend.

For anyone who is extremely nervous about this process, I’m the review for you. I was beside myself with nerves about my fur baby traveling overseas, 2 flights, an overnight layover, and the whole journey took over 2 days. But he made it safely and intact!! While this wasn’t quite the level of hand-holding/coddling I anticipated or perhaps needed, in the end all of the logistics were taken care of and the transportation was a happy success. If you HAVE to transport your pet overseas, I think Starwood is about as good as a pet transport service gets.

I used Starwood Pet Travel to move my dog from New Jersey, USA to Madrid in January 2025.
They are very organizes and responsive, their homepage is very well done and useful to understand everything you need with respect of Veterinary, Customs and Airline paperwork.
I had several conversations with my advisor Rosemary during the month previous to the travel day. We also exchange emails and texts.
They used Lufthansa for the trip which is considered the best Animal Cargo Airline.
They have veterinary service and check on the dog once ot gets to Frankfurt.
The service is not cheap but it was worthwhile because it gave me peace of mind.

We had issues with our visas that required two flight changes - Starwood was with us all the way. Our travel originated in Seattle, WA. We received updates and photos which made us feel much better. The doggos (Lily the wonder schnauzer and Sir Oliver Dachsund extraordinaire) arrived tired but well cared for. Two days later they have acclimated and are eager for many doggo adventures to come in Spain. A heartfelt thank you to Starwood!

HE MADE IT. We were moving from the US to South Africa and wanted to take our 11 year old Sheltie. Starwood and our vet walked us through each step, but we were halted due to the holidays, had many obstacles to overcome, but Ryan and our vet, were absolutely amazing and got Charlie to SA with one day to spare. If Ryan hadn't taken over, it wouldn't have happened and we would have had to start over.

When Charlie arrived, he was in good condition and the turn over went very smoothly. He slept a lot for a couple of days, but has now settled in, and is doing great!

Starwood Pet Travel took very good care of our dog, Sierra in her journey to New Zealand. The process leading up to her travel was smooth. They kept in contact with us during every step of the process. Our travel coordinator Sage was very responsive and answered all our questions quickly. The forms and paperwork were organized nicely on the online portal and it was nice that there were very specific timelines for everything. The resources shared on the Starwood Pet Travel website were very helpful, especially the videos which walked us through the process. We were very appreciative that our pup was able to make it to New Zealand safely without any issues. Thank you Starwood Pet Travel!

When you move long distances, with pets, you may chose to do things the easy way or the hard way. The latter involves you having to do everything on your own, running the risk of missing a step or doing completely wrong. The easy way involves siring Starwood Pet Travel.

Starwood will coordinate with your vet to make sure all information is correct and that any required paperwork has been submitted correctly and on time. They are also the ones to walk pet through Ag inspection, offloading from arriving flight and back onto any connecting flights, if a multi flight itinerary. Sage, our coordinator, was so understanding in my being an antsy pet parent when I would think of some potential issue (in my head), assuring me all was going smoothly. She also was accessible when I was freaking out when Aloha Cargo mistakenly told me out 3 pets were not on the flight I was advised they had been scheduled on, it was just that the manifest had not been updated (no fault of Starwood Pet Travel’s).

The crates we got through Starwood were nice, sturdy, and roomy, and my husband and I loved getting photo updates each step of the way; our dogs and cat left our home in Scottsdale on December 18th, and I had them on Maui on the 20th. Starwood also made sure to stress to all parties handling our dogs were all aware that they are very reactive to one another, and knew to not ever let them be out of crates at the same time.

We cannot say enough positive things about them, and if we ever move back to the mainland we will definitely be utilizing them again.

I'm very pleased now that my animal has arrived in their International destination in Southeast Asia having been escorted by Ryan and her very capable team at Starwood pet travel. Did things happen unexpectedly? Yes. Did I worry? Yes. Did Starwood resolve the issue? Yes. My worrying and any intervention probably got in the way more than anything else. Except when they asked me to take some action: whether that be with the veterinarian or what-have-you. But, all issues were resolved in ways that I couldn't have anticipated because it's a complex thing that I don't understand. They have contracts with Airlines and can change flights and schedules without penalty. And all sorts of resources, infrastructure and relationships they already have in place to take care of so many issues. They have contracts with veterinarians who can reissue Health certifications in cities around the world as an example. At one point, one of the Starwood employees was going to take my pet home for the weekend because there was a long layover and he didn't want her to stay in a crate in cargo storage in some Warehouse near the airport. That's awesome. My little girl had to spend a couple of nights in Amsterdam and I understand there's a nice facility there. It was not part of the planning from the beginning. And it came as a surprise to me. But after I thought about it, I think it was a nice break for her in the middle of a long trip that would have otherwise meant she would have spent four straight days flying and in the crate. The break in Amsterdam gave her a chance to get out of the crate and run around a little bit and mingle with other dogs Etc. I saw pictures of the place. Pictures were also sent to me when she
stopped at certain locations. There are countries that do not scan the tags and report. But, if there's any issues they are reported immediately.
It was expensive but absolutely worth it. Zero remorse on that expenditure which is nice. Cheryl, the other reviewer said it well : multiple members of Starwood were highly engaged in mini aspects. They are pros. I'm grateful I chose them.

Made the move from the US to Australia with our two Aussies - I think Australia is one of the more difficult countries to import pets and I could not have imagined pulling it all together without the help of Starwood. Molly was always excellent in managing any of the little snags that arose, and was very understanding as we navigated family issues (and time zone delays) on our end. We especially appreciated all the updates once they were actually in transit, and it was so joyous to finally be reunited. Wholeheartedly endorse this service!

We had a very small window to get William scheduled to fly back from Florida to the UK .Starwood kept us in the picture all the way through the process by Phone -- text and email .One tiny hiccough on one piece of paper --- no fault of Starwood. Timings per their schedule were faultless and their people in the UK were in contact as soon as and before William landed. He jumped out the crate had a pee and settled on the sofa. I can’t say enough about my wonderful experience with Starwood Pet Travel. From my initial conversations with Ross I knew I wouldn’t be comfortable with another pet travel company. I shipped my 4 cats from the United States to Australia. Australia has very strict import policies, I wouldn’t have known how to start the process with out Starwood. My pet travel coordinator (Sage) was awesome! She reassured me and answered every question I had along the way, in addition to making sure I was prepared for the required vet appointments. About three weeks before my cats shipped, Sage went on maternity leave. I was slightly nervous because I had been primarily working with Sage and I was very happy with my experience with her. Molly became my new coordinator and let me tell you….the transition from Sage to Molly was SEAMLESS! Molly was great as well! As you can imagine, there was a lot of back and forth so close to travel and Molly didn’t skip a beat. Not only were Sage and Molly both professional, they are both very kind. I never felt bothersome with all my questions and they are both very quick to respond. The genuine care and compassion is something I didn’t expect, but was so greatly appreciated. My cats cleared quarantine and are now safely home with me in Australia. I would 100% recommend Starwood Pet Travel to anyone that needs to ship their pets.

Knowing there is a pet relocation company such as Starwood Pet Travel has made our dog’s journey a successful one. They provided us excellent service from the first point of contact to the last. Benjamin Crumble (Sales and Business) got the introductory process rolling for us and has been clear and concise. We were given a choice of 3 tier levels of service, we chose the Level 2 tier as it was the most popular option and since this was our very first time utilizing their service, it made sense to go with the obvious. I liked the services Level 2 offered, it wasn’t too much and it wasn’t too little. Arrangements were made for a telephone meeting with the Director of Customer Experience Ryan Bole. All communications were done through mostly emails and texts. This is where the process truly starts. All I had to do was to send in my dog’s measurements so the correct size airline compliant crate can be sent to me (you can bring in your own crate but it must comply with the airline’s rules), a fully completed vaccinations report signed (blue ink only) all on one page, H1 Visa (if your dog is relocating to another country), make an appointment to see the vet to get the health certificates rolling and I think that’s it. Ryan Bole handles the rest and that includes liaising with your vet. She has an eye for detail and notices if anything needs to be corrected. Starwood pays for the USDA endorsement fee for the health certificates as well as the FedEx costs relating to those. As much as I wanted to have our dog on the same flight as us, that just wasn’t at all possible. As soon as we heard of when our dog will be boarding her flight, we were able to change our flight as close to her date, so be prepared that it’s not always possible to have your dog on the same flight as yours. I have to say we were very lucky to have our flight changed 2 days after her flight so it wasn’t that bad. Josh, a driver from Starwood Pet Travel picked Zoe up from our home to the airport. He was really fun and gotten to know Zoe a little along the way. Lots of photos were taken of Zoe’s journey and I felt reassured that Zoe was in the best of hands and care. She had a layover in France, received pictures of her, she looked great, food and water were given to her and boarded at her destination kennel for 2 days until we got there to welcome her back with open arms as our dog made it safely to our hotel. She’s still the same playful Zoe as if she’s never left home! I have to give a shout out to “Sohm” from Richter Kennels who really took care of our dog in such a way as if Zoe was her own. I highly recommend Starwood Pet Travel for their transparency and professionalism, they have been with us every step of the way. They truly care about our pets, making sure their journey is a safe one.

In planning our move to Spain, we attempted to book our dogs in cargo with several airlines. Each time, it was a disaster. We were quoted the incorrect information by several airlines, booked tickets, then had to cancel those and spent countless hours on the phone. I had seen Starwood Pet Travel in an internet search and finally decided to contact them. This company was awesome. From the first conversation with Ben, then with our coordinator, Ashley, they answered all of our questions and concerns. We did have some slight bumps along the way, but Starwood was there to solve the minor problems. Our dogs arrived relaxed and happy to see us again. I highly recommend this service if you are planning to move abroad. They handled customs and everything, even delivering our pets to us at our new home in Spain. Working with Starwood and more specifically Ms. Rosemary Cann has been such a pleasure. As a military family PCSing overseas, they took a huge burden off our shoulders when it came to figuring out how to get our huskies across the world. Rosemary worked with us at every hurdle we had and always did her best to offer us multiple solutions to our issues.

Before our pet’s trip, we were very informed of everything that would happen and there were no surprises from Starwood’s end.

Once our pups were out of our hands, Starwood did an amazing job keeping us updated with photos. It was a relief to be able to see them being taken care of and it allowed us to focus on other aspects of our big move.

From the beginning to end, my husband and I enjoyed working with Starwood and have considered working with them again when it’s time to come back home.

**OUTSTANDING FROM START TO FINISH!**
We cannot thank Starwood—and specifically Sarah—enough! We moved to Spain from Maryland, and we were extremely nervous about relocating our dog, Ella. I’m certain I was exhausting with all my questions and worries, but they didn’t miss a beat. Every question I had was answered quickly and professionally. (Honestly, I don’t think Sarah sleeps!)

We flew out the same day as Ella, but due to a USDA delay in paperwork, she couldn’t travel as scheduled. Without missing a beat, they placed her in a top boarding facility near the airport, and we received frequent updates and photos. They worked quickly to obtain the corrected documentation and rebooked Ella on the next flight.

She arrived happy, healthy, and clean. I will never use another service when moving my dog—and I highly recommend that you look no further.

My husband and I recently made the big decision to leave Los Angeles and start a new chapter in beautiful Koh Samui, Thailand—with our beloved Newfoundland, Bear, in tow.

Our coordinator, Ryan, was incredible—responsive, thorough, and always available to answer our many questions. She guided us step-by-step, including coordinating directly with our vet to handle all the medical requirements, which can be overwhelming on your own.

The entire process went smoothly, with no hiccups along the way. Bear arrived safely, right on schedule, a bit tired (and ready for a long nap), but in great condition.

We were beyond relieved and overjoyed to be reunited, and now Bear is loving life—whether he’s lounging at home or playing on the beach.

If you’re planning a big international move with your pet, I can’t recommend Starwood enough. As someone who worries a lot—especially when it comes to Bear—I’m deeply grateful for the care and professionalism they delivered. Thank you, Starwood!

I cannot thank Ryan and the team at Starwood Pet Relocation enough for the exceptional care and service they provided while moving my cat from the U.S. to Dubai. From the very beginning, their communication was top-notch—clear, timely, and reassuring at every stage of the process. The trip went extremely well. We met up with the Starwood team in New York on Wednesday morning, handed our pup over to them, and then arrived in Hawaii, where we met our pup at our new home.
Everyone was so friendly and easy to work with. I am so thankful Starwood was there to help me with this process. There were errors in the vet paperwork that I wouldn't have known to look for, which the Starwood team caught and contacted my vet to resolve. Having that peace of mind while trying to pack, sell a home, and work a full-time job - I am thankful for the assistance!

MIND-BLOWING SERVICE! Rosie and the team were amazing. She tirelessly went over all the documentation several times with me as I was very nervous. We had to change vets due to a prior short-term move from Minneapolis to Richmond just before the move to the U.K. and she took care of coordinating everything between the two U.S. vets (all prior vaccinations, etc.) in addition to the U.K. portion of our relocation FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE.Even our vet in Richmond said they were the best pet relo company she had ever dealt with and will recommend them to her clients needing relo services in the future. I couldn't recommend them more.

TransAtlantic relocation of pets is no small thing. It's a stressful month, all said and done. It is enormously complicated, especially if you have large dogs, and one wrong move at any point in the process, and your pets aren't going with you. I attempted to manage their relocation myself, and it very quickly became clear that it wasn't happening without professional help. I chose Starwood, and was granted instant relief and assurance that my pets would make it safely to Bosnia, via Detroit and Frankfurt. Starwood was on top of everything, and left no room for any error on my part. It's an expensive service, but particularly if you have large dogs, it is worth it. Starwood arranged for my two large dogs (one extra large Bernedoodle who required custom tweaks to the largest pre-made dog crate on the market) to be picked up from our home and transported to and checked-in at Lufthansa in Detroit. Through constant communications and updates, Starwood ensured that our dogs arrived safely in Frankfurt and were taken care of by the Lufthansa animal lounge until their transport onward by van to Bosnia arrived. Twice, Starwood stepped in to fix things that had nothing to do with their service. They went above and beyond, even rushing a new water dish to the departure terminal for a cat we were separately transporting without Starwood. Starwood also intervened when their part of the journey was over in Frankfurt, and the separate company hired to pick the dogs up and drive the onwards failed to show. Throughout, and far beyond their responsibilities, Starwood's Ashley was available 24/7, seamlessly making things flow and stepping in for immediate, effective troubleshooting. For peace of mind and highly effective organization, Starwood was definitely the right choice.

We choose Starwood to move our beloved pets from the United States to Ireland. We have a total of 4 dogs and 14 cats between our family members. I reached out to several companies. Starwood stood out from the very beginning. Ben followed up with us several times, and he gave us a comprehensive proposal, answering the million questions we had with patience. After doing the research we signed on with Starwood. Sarah was the assigned travel coordinator to our little crew. Sarah booked the vet, the transport and found a direct flight for our babies. Sarah helped us getting the crates airline ready, the day of the vet visit came and it was like clock work, Joe and Kristen were efficient, professional, and caring. The next day the transport arrived Jodi and Jason arrived with two air-conditioned vans prepared with beddings and paper work. After all 18 crates were loaded, I was kept in the loop every step of the way. Jodi and Jason truly care for animals and advocated for them until they were boarded. I received flight updates, photos of my babies every step of the way. When the dogs and cats arrived in Ireland they were received by Irene, who contacted me with pictures immediately and our babies were transported to their final destination to be received by my daughters. Overall I can only warmly recommend Starwood, everyone we encountered was absolutely outstanding, caring and professional. I would trust them with the care on my pets anytime.

Starwood was terrific. Communication was clear and accurate. We (and our vet) were led through the process carefully and reliably. We moved two dogs to Australia, and this would have been impossible to manage without their direction and guidance. But all we had to do was to follow instructions and everything was perfect. Our dogs arrived safe and happy after traveling halfway around the world, and we are happy and grateful to Starwood.

Starwood made moving our puppy Finn from California to O'ahu a breeze. Their portal was super helpful, and even our vet loved their pre-filled forms. When a paperwork hiccup arose upon landing in Hawai'i, the Starwood team handled it flawlessly. They quickly resolved the issue with the Department of Agriculture, ensuring Finn's immediate release as planned. We were so relieved to reunite! Finn is happy and settling in great. I had an amazing experience with Starwood transporting my dog (Axie) from New York to Singapore. From start to finish, the team was professional, responsive, and handled all the complex paperwork needed for Axie's journey home. Most importantly, my dog arrived safe, healthy, and happy after a ~20 hour flight! This speaks to how happy I am with my experience. Huge shoutout to Ryan for making sure Axie was well looked after every step of the way during her journey from New York to Singapore! He took the flight from New York to Frankfurt (transit), and then to Singapore. I received timely updates at every stage - check-in, transit, landing, and even post-landing, coming with photos that gave me so much peace of mind. Ryan also made sure Axie was in a safe and clean environment during his transit at Frankfurt airport - something that really mattered to me since he was flying cargo. Like any pet parent, I was worried about the cargo experience, but Ryan made sure Axie had a comfortable space to rest and even roam around a little. I really appreciated the photo updates that gave me peace of mind along the way.

We recommend Starwood 100%. Moving our pups was the most stressful and complicated part of our move to Europe, so we wanted to make sure to use a service who could take care of everything. Rosie was responsive and proactive throughout the process. When our dates for travel had to move, she worked through all of the details. The details they take into account made us confident our pups would be safe and well cared for. From making sure we had the right crate size for a comfy ride to understanding our pups feeding, medicine, and behavioral quirks, they documented and planned for everything. Rosie met with us frequently in the time leading up to the trip to make sure we knew the plan. We received frequent pictures and updates of all of the pup's change points. Starwood's partners were incredible. Christina took the pups to the vet, got them settled at the boarding facility (Dog Days and Cat Nights in Queens New York - Absolutely incredible service and care) and took them to their flights. Rita helped us with the Europe side of the trip: she kept us informed when the plane was unexpectedly diverted and answered all of our questions about next steps. The pups arrived safely and are settling well into their new home!
