Tasmin & Jaylen's Trip to the UK

When Stephen and Lara made the decision to move from Missouri back to the United Kingdom, they knew one part of the journey would be especially challenging: getting their beloved cats, Tamsin and Jaylen, safely across the Atlantic.

The two cats couldn't be more different. Tamsin is adventurous and curious, though she's never been a fan of car rides. Jaylen is much more reserved, preferring to hide away whenever she's faced with something unfamiliar. With such different personalities, Stephen and Lara weren't sure how either cat would handle the trip from Chicago to London Heathrow.

Thankfully, with Starwood Pet Travel managing the details, the family felt confident that Tamsin and Jaylen were in good hands.

The girls arrived in the UK a day before Lara, where Stephen eagerly welcomed them to their temporary home in Worthing. After four months apart, he was overjoyed to see them again. Lara followed the next day and was equally relieved to be reunited with both her husband and the cats after the long journey.

Since arriving, Tamsin and Jaylen have settled in well and are already getting comfortable in their new surroundings. Once the family moves into their permanent flat in a few weeks, they'll have even more space to explore. In fact, Stephen is already planning to build climbing platforms for the girls, giving them plenty of opportunities to investigate every nook and cranny of their new home.

For Tamsin and Jaylen, their UK adventure is just beginning.
