Royal Tenenbaum, Roosevelt, & Lord Bullington's Trip to Portugal
Royal Tenenbaum is nervous and very sweet, Roosevelt is brave, cuddly, and sweet, and Lord Bullingdon is independent, playful, and bossy. Their reunion started when three very nice men rang my doorbell to tell me the pets were in the truck. I ran downstairs to see them and watched as they carried Royal’s giant crate inside.
He popped out, explored the small lobby, and soaked up attention from the men caring for him. When he finally noticed me, he reacted with pure excitement and we hugged. He hopped onto the elevator and began exploring our very empty apartment while the men brought Rosie and LB upstairs and let them out too.
They were all in better shape than I expected. Rosie needed a half bath, mostly because she is too fat to clean herself, but Bullingdon and Royal were clean and pretty happy. They clearly received good care, even though they barely ate for 48 hours. Today they are in recovery mode. The cats are using their new litter box and eating a little. Royal and I have gone out a couple times but have stayed close. In our new home, I hope Royal will feel brave enough to visit the dog friendly park. The cats are calming down and settling into their routine.
