Oscar & Boo's Trip to New Zealand
The journey started quietly in Vancouver, with two cats who had no idea just how far they were about to go.
Oscar, calm and endlessly affectionate, moved through the house like he always did—soft, steady, unbothered. Boo, on the other hand, carried a little more curiosity in his step. He watched everything. Not anxious, just… aware. As if he knew something big was coming.
From Portland, they began their journey—lifting off into the kind of distance that feels impossible to explain to a cat. Across oceans, across time zones, all the way to Auckland.
It was a long journey. The kind that changes things, even if you can’t quite see how yet.
And then, suddenly, it was over.
The reunion wasn’t loud or chaotic. It was something softer. Familiar scents, familiar voices. Home, just in a different place.
Oscar settled in the way he always had—quietly, lovingly, as if nothing had really changed at all.
But Boo?
Boo had something to say.
He found his voice in Auckland. What used to be quiet glances and watchful pauses turned into little conversations—chirps, meows, commentary on everything. He followed his people from room to room, narrating his thoughts like he’d been holding them in the entire trip. And now that he was home again, he wasn’t going to waste another second being quiet.
Safe. Settled. Together again.
As for what’s next?
Well, Boo has exactly one goal in this new chapter of life:
to somehow get his hair under control.
Because in this new home, under this new sky, one thing is certain—it’s everywhere.
