Nyx & Jupiter's Trip to New Zealand
Nyx had always been the kind of husky who believed every day was the best day of her life. Even at the airport, tail thumping and eyes bright, she treated the long journey to Auckland like a grand adventure. Jupiter, on the other hand, endured it all with the dignified grumble of a cat who had seen too much. He was a self-proclaimed “grumpy old man,” and travel was very much beneath him.
When the quarantine doors finally opened, Nyx spotted her people and exploded into motion—spinning, howling, and wiggling with joy as if she’d been holding in months of excitement. Jupiter followed more slowly, but the moment he saw familiar faces, his stern expression softened.
Their new home in Auckland felt like it had been made for them. Nyx discovered wide stretches of land and couldn’t believe her luck—so many places to run, so many new smells, and, best of all, farm animals to watch with endless curiosity. Every morning was a new mission: patrol the fields, greet the sheep, and sprint across the grass just because she could.
Jupiter had a simpler dream. After all that traveling, he declared himself officially retired from adventure. He found the sunniest window in the house, claimed it, and now spends his days stretched out in perfect comfort, bird-watching with the quiet satisfaction of a cat who has finally arrived exactly where he wants to be.
In their new life at the edge of the world, Nyx runs, Jupiter rests, and both know they’re exactly where they belong—together again.
