Izzy's Trip to the UK

Izzy had a sweetness about her that no amount of travel could dim — the kind of playful, puppy-like spirit that turned even long hours into something bearable, because surely, surely, something good was waiting on the other side.

And it was.

The van rolled to a stop outside her new home, and before anyone could even reach for the door, Izzy was already moving — a blur of wagging tail and pure, uncontainable joy, leaping out to a family who had missed her more than words could hold. There were no formalities to that reunion. Just tail-wags at full speed and the unmistakable sense that everyone involved had been waiting for this exact moment.

Boston was behind her now. London — or rather, the patch of it she could call her own — lay ahead, and Izzy wasted no time getting acquainted.

Room by room, she investigated. Every corner, every doorway, every unfamiliar scent tucked into the walls of a house that hadn't been hers a day earlier but somehow already felt like it belonged to her. She hopped up to windows, paws on the sill, surveying her new territory like she meant to memorize it. And then came the gardens — wide open, green, and completely hers to run through, looking for who-knows-what with the single-minded determination only a puppy at heart could manage.

She hadn't lost a thing crossing the Atlantic. If anything, she'd gained a whole world of rooms to investigate, windows to watch from, and gardens to tear across — tail wagging the entire way.
