Cass's Trip to Ireland
Cass is a big dog with a quiet heart. As a Great Dane, she's hard to miss, but she'd rather not be the center of attention. She's calm, sweet, and a little shy, especially around new people. She likes to hang back and take things in before deciding someone is worth a lean.
So a move from the US to Ireland was a lot to ask of a gentle soul like Cass. A long journey, new faces, new sounds, and a whole ocean between her and the place she'd always known.
Then the van pulled up.
When the driver opened the back door, the first thing anyone saw was Cass's nose, working hard. She was sniffing the air, catching something familiar on the breeze. Her family was close. She could tell.
Someone said her name, and her head tilted, as if she couldn't quite believe what she was hearing. And when she finally saw them, that shy, careful dog disappeared. Her tail started wagging, and she was ready to leap straight out of her kennel. After her long trip across the pond, Cass was exactly where she wanted to be.
It didn't take long for her to start exploring. Cass has already checked the first item off her bucket list: roaming her one-acre back yard, bounding through the tall grasses with her human buddy, Sean. For a dog her size, it's the kind of space that feels made just for her, and she's getting more comfortable in it every day.
Next up is something her family can't wait to see: Cass at the beach, meeting the ocean for the first time.
For a shy girl who has always needed time to warm up to anything new, Cass is settling into Ireland beautifully. Big yard, big skies, and her people right beside her. She's home.
