Ben's Trip to Sweden
Ben had always been a good boy. Obedient, sweet, the kind of dog who sits without being asked twice. But even good boys have big feelings, and nothing could have prepared him for the whirlwind of boxes, suitcases, and long hours in transit that led him from the United States all the way to Piteå, Sweden.
When the crate finally opened and he caught sight of his family waiting for him, Ben lost it, in the best way. His tail became a blur. He bounded forward with his nose working overtime, pressing happy little nudges into every hand he could reach, as if to say I missed you, I missed you, I can't believe you're really here. It was pure joy, uncomplicated and total, the kind only a dog can offer after a long journey apart.
Now Ben is settling into his new life in the north of Sweden, and if you asked him what's next on the agenda, the answer is simple. He wants to explore. Piteå's quiet woods are calling his name, full of new smells and trails just waiting for four paws to wander them. And when the walking is done, he's already picked out his favorite spot for the rest of the day: a patch of sunlight on the floor, perfect for a long, well-earned snooze.
Ben may have traveled thousands of miles to get here, but some things never change. He's still the same sweet, obedient dog he's always been, just with a whole new backyard to discover, one wag at a time.
