Junior & Harley's Hawaiian Adventure

Three years ago, Junior and Harley’s lives changed forever when they were rescued into a loving home. Junior, a spirited Malinois mix with boundless energy, can be a little shy at first and startles easily—but once he warms up, his big heart shines through. Harley, the sweetest girl you could meet, wins over everyone with her gentle nature (and isn’t afraid to use her voice when she wants attention!).

When it came time to move from Los Angeles to Hawaii, their family knew it would be a big journey—over 12 hours of travel from takeoff to touchdown in Honolulu. Junior’s separation anxiety and Harley’s vocal personality made the trip a bit nerve-wracking for everyone, but with expert care and plenty of preparation, the pair made it safely across the Pacific.

Less than an hour after their paws touched Hawaiian soil, Junior and Harley were reunited with their overjoyed family. The airport melted into the background as tails wagged furiously, happy whines filled the air, and the long day apart was instantly forgotten.

It didn’t take long for these two island newcomers to start crossing off their Hawaiian bucket list. First stop? The beach. Junior discovered the joy of sprinting along the sand, while Harley soaked in all the new sights and smells—both of them splashing in the warm ocean like they’d lived there their whole lives.

From rescues in California to beachcombers in paradise, Junior and Harley are proof that every new chapter can be filled with joy, love, and a little saltwater.
