Arnie's Golden Homecoming

At 15 years old, Arnie the golden retriever has seen his share of adventures—but none quite like his transatlantic journey from Dallas-Fort Worth to Madrid, with a layover in Frankfurt. Weighing in at 89 pounds of pure loyalty and love, Arnie was making the move with his beloved human Jorge by his side in spirit, and Lufthansa helping him every step of the way.

Understandably, the first few moments after landing were filled with big gulps of water, lots of sniffing, and some very enthusiastic peeing. “New territory, new environment,” Jorge said. “I’m sure it helps that I’m here, as we are very attached.” Their reunion was everything they had hoped for—joyful, emotional, and deeply comforting for both.

One of the first stops? A visit to Arnie’s sister. “It made her day,” Jorge shared. And soon after, the family phone calls began—everyone wanted to know that Arnie had arrived safely. It wasn’t just a homecoming; it was a moment of connection that rippled through the whole family.

“Thanks for making it all possible,” Jorge said. “Very happy with the service from you and your company.” We’re honored to have helped such a loyal old soul on his journey, and even more honored to have played a part in such a beautiful reunion.
